Paid Listings Frequently Asked Questions

What are Paid Listings?

Paid Listings are Enhance Interactive's pay-per-click advertising network. Here is how it works.

How do I choose keywords? Can you suggest keywords?

During the sign-up process, you'll be asked to select keywords that relate to your product or service. For instance, a car dealership might choose new cars, auto dealers and so on.

Our Keyword Suggestion Tool lists keywords that relate to the ones you have selected. You can add these to your list of keywords if you wish.

What is Keyword Matching?

The Keyword Matching System allows you to choose from three enhanced keyword matching capabilities, Basic Match, Phrase Match and Broad Match, and apply Negative Match to filter out traffic from specific unwanted keywords. Keyword Matching gives you the option to have your listings appear not only when users search for your keyword or phrase alone, but when users search for any relevant phrase that includes your chosen keyword.

What is the difference between Basic, Phrase and Broad Match?

Basic Match displays your listings for singular and plural variations of your keyword.

Phrase Match can be used for keywords made up of two or more words. Phrase Match ensures your listings appear when users search on the keywords you selected, in any order as long as they are adjacent to each other. Examples: "mountain bike for sale" where your Phrase Match keyword is "mountain bike" or "bike mountain sale" for the same scenario. Phrase Match allows your listings to appear on a broad range of relevant search terms.

Broad Match offers the flexibility of searching for any combination of your keyword phrase. If you select the Broad Match keyword "mountain bike," your listing will appear in the results if a part of the search matches any combination of that keyword. This offers greater flexibility, and potentially more traffic. Your listing will appear for searches such as "bike mountains," "bike trails on mountain" and "I'm looking for a mountain bike." When you enter new keywords in the Account Management System, they are set to Broad Match by default.

To cut down on less relevant traffic you can add Negative Match keywords to specify which keywords you don't want traffic for, such as "trail" if you don't offer mountain bike trails, or "Jeep" if you don't carry Jeep mountain bikes.

What is AccuMatch?

AccuMatch is a system meant to ensure you receive the most targeted and relevant traffic possible. Let's face it, Web users are not perfect. Some of them may accidentally misspell your keyword, add extra spaces or even add extra phrases to their search query. Rather than you taking the time and expense of setting a click price for these special circumstances, AccuMatch does this for you. AccuMatch automatically expands your keywords to include keyword variations such as misspellings, plurals, and simple phrases. Take a look at an example:

If you set a click price for the keyword "mountain bike," the following additional keywords will also be added automatically:

mountains bike
mountain bikes
mountain bike
mountain & bike
montain bik
the mountain bike
mountainbike
where can I buy mountain bikes
plus many, many more....
